THE ROLE Reporting to the Manager, MARAMIS Policy and Improvement, the Senior Legal Policy Officer undertakes preparation of advice on the operation of the Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme, the Central Information Point and the Family Violence Multi Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework, including updating regulations, delegations, instruments, Ministerial Declarations, related resources including the FVISS Ministerial Guidelines and the inter-operation of relevant parts of the Family Violence Protection Act 2008, with other related reforms, including the operation of The Orange Door. Identifies and provides advice and policy to support the units work to progress the whole of Victorian government Family Violence Multi Agency Risk Assessment and Management (MARAM) and family violence information sharing reforms aimed at keeping families and children safe and perpetrators in view. The successful candidate will utilise their excellent legal policy skills to provide policy advice on behalf of Family Safety Victoria, and lead a program of work as described above, including providing advice to stakeholders in implementing the reforms. The role operates within a complex and dynamic environment that requires capacity to exercise sound legal and policy judgement, and the ability to proactively develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
