Job Description The Sr. Electronics Engineer will have the following 3 clusters of responsibility:Electronics/Electrical Engineering : Electrical and electronic design activities for machine mounted electronics systems, including sensor selection, cabling design, protection, requirements specification, etc. Manage and implement in-sourced and outsourced electronic design, firmware development, etc. Development of appropriate engineering and manufacturing documentation to support ongoing engineering and manufacturing including component life cycle management pertaining to the product engineering. Provide escalated technical support for the embedded solutions as required. Project Management, Testing, Certification, Team Leadership Implementation of the electronics compliance requirements, including certifications and standards necessary for jurisdictions the products operate in. Coordinate implementation of outsourced aspects of the development, including compliance testing, accelerated life testing, IP testing etc. Testing and coordination of testing for in house testing and validation activities. Lead the hardware engineering team and provide technical guidance to the fellow hardware engineers. Reporting on testing outcomes. Manufacturing Support Establish and provide technical oversight of outsourced manufacturing and QA processes for all electronic developments. Component selection and technical aspects of establishment of supply chains for electronic products. Provide advice and support to Supply Chain and Operations for management of ERP inventory requirements for products / components. The Successful Applicant A successful Sr. Electronics Engineer should have: A degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field. Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Electronics Engineering preferably with embedded systems and IoT development and implementation. Expertise in Altium design software for PCB design and layout. Experience with power supply design, including power conversion and testing procedures. Skilled in low power design, particularly for battery-operated devices and energy-efficient systems. Desirable knowledge of RF devices and principles, including signal processing and transmission. Familiarity with embedded communications protocols such as IIC, SPI, and CAN for device integration and networking.
