Working for a Leading Demolition Client
Based in Kwinana
About the Role:
The purpose of this role is to support business to comply with the company health and safety management system, particularly the site requirements in Kwinana
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert advice in line with WHS legislation to employees and managers on health and safety matters.
* Conduct and or assist incident investigations in line with using the ICAM investigation methodology.
* Review, update and issue H&S management plans and risk registers onsite to ensure alignment with internal, client and legislative requirements.
* Report and investigate all hazards and incidents. Support the implementation of agreed control measures in accordance to best practice and guidelines
* Participate in tool box and pre-start meetings on site
* Attend client safety meetings as required.
* Maintain up to date knowledge and ensure compliance with current health and safety legislation.
* Attend and participate in regular team meetings.
* Lead onsite meetings with key Management positions prior to any auditing and review process that are to be conducted to ensure effective and accurate completion of SHEQ and compliance documentation review.
* Responsible for the implementation and adherence to all safety policies, plans and procedures in area of responsibility.
* Responsible for providing visible safety leadership.
Key Requirements:
* Relevant tertiary qualification or certificate in Health and Safety or Environmental.
* At least 3 years experience as a SHEQ advisor or equivalent.
* Demolition Experience would be advantageous
* Current Class C Drivers License
* Demonstrated experience in hazard and risk assessment and mitigation
* Demonstrated knowledge of WHS and other relevant legislation
* Sound knowledge of business computer systems and the standard programs required to perform the role.
* Sound knowledge of investigation techniques to industry standards.
* Demonstrated knowledge and ability to ensure safety compliance and auditing requirements are adhered to
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently
* Demonstrated ability to deliver quality customer service, contribute to service improvements and influence change
* High developed communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with an ability to formulate recommendations.
* ICAM Lead Investigator or equivalent
* Lead Auditor Accreditation or equivalent
* SHEQ experience within an industrial sector or equivalent
