Collectively we make the impossible possible.About the OPPORTUNITYWe have an exciting opportunity for a Surveyor to join our Maritime Business based at Osborne SA, reporting to the Dimensional Control Manager.Working across all aspects of the Hunter Class Frigate Program, you will assist the Dimensional Control Lead by providing guidance to production, engineering and the project organisations on product configuration during manufacture.Key responsibilities include:Complete product dimensional control inspections and provide live feedback and reports to production.Assist in the development of dimensional control plans for assembly build strategies and products.Provision of timely data to production or engineering on product alignment during construction.Understand and interpret product build tolerances and measurement equipment capabilities.Raising non-conformances as issues.About YOUDegree in Surveying, Spatial Systems or Engineering (desired).Certificate IV in Surveying or surveying experience (desired).Practical knowledge and experience of survey measuring activities on equipment such as industrial fittings, pipes, vessels and compressors.Use of Total Stations, Auto level, Theodolites, Scanners, Laser Trackers.Auto CAD, 3D surveying software, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing understanding is advantageous.Eligible to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations.Eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance.We believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidates hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
