Our Pilgangoora Project is one of the largest, hard-rock lithium operations in the world.THE OPPORTUNITYWe are currently looking for a motivated Data & Power BI Administrator to join our Technology Operation department.Reporting to the Group Manager Digital Technology, the Data & Power BI Administrator plays a critical role in managing and optimizing the organization's Power BI environment while serving as a key stakeholder for the enterprise data warehouse (EDW). This role requires a blend of technical expertise in Power BI administration, data analytics, and enterprise data governance, along with strong communication skills to collaborate with business and IT teams.Key responsibilities include overseeing the Power BI tenant at an enterprise level—managing workspaces, security, licensing, and performance optimization—while ensuring seamless integration with the data warehouse. The administrator will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business leaders to define reporting standards, improve data accessibility, and enforce governance policies.This is a permanent position, based at our corporate office in West Perth.Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:Power BI Administration & GovernanceManage and optimize the enterprise Power BI tenant, including licensing, security, and performance tuning.Oversee workspace and dataset management, ensuring efficient and scalable data models.Implement and enforce Power BI governance policies, including role-based access control (RBAC) and row-level security (RLS).Monitor and troubleshoot Power BI service performance, refresh failures, and user access issues.Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Integration & Stakeholder CollaborationAct as a key stakeholder for the enterprise data warehouse, ensuring Power BI solutions align with EDW architecture.Collaborate with data engineers to optimize data pipelines and ensure high-performance data models.Work with business teams to define reporting requirements and improve data accessibility.Advocate for best practices in data management, governance, and reporting across the organization.Data Analytics & Reporting OptimizationDevelop, maintain, and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for business insights.Enhance data models with efficient DAX calculations, relationships, and aggregations.Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports and datasets.Provide support for self-service BI users, promoting best practices in report development.Training & Support for Business UsersEducate and train business users on Power BI tools, capabilities, and self-service analytics.Create documentation and best practice guidelines for Power BI usage.Act as a point of contact for troubleshooting and Power BI-related queries.Facilitate adoption of Power BI as a strategic tool for data-driven decision-making.ABOUT YOUA bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field such as data science, statistics, or business analytics.Microsoft Power BI Certification: DA-100 | PL-300Snowflake certification “SnowPro Core COF-C02”Power BI Administration & Governance – Experience managing an enterprise Power BI tenant, including security, licensing, and workspace management.Data Modeling & DAX Expertise – Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL for creating efficient and scalable data models.Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Integration – Experience working with enterprise data warehouses and optimizing Power BI connections for performance.Data Governance & Security – Knowledge of row-level security (RLS), object-level security (OLS), and role-based access control (RBAC) in Power BI and data platforms.Performance Optimization – Ability to diagnose and optimize Power BI reports, data models, and refresh schedules to ensure efficiency.Stakeholder Engagement – Experience working with business users, data engineers, and IT teams to define reporting requirements and ensure data accessibility.Self-Service BI Enablement – Ability to train and support non-technical users in Power BI best practices while promoting a self-service analytics culture.Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting – Strong analytical skills for debugging performance issues, data discrepancies, and system errors in Power BI.Cloud & Big Data Platforms – Experience with Azure Synapse, Snowflake, or other cloud-based data warehouses for large-scale analytics.Automation & APIs – Familiarity with Power BI REST API, Power Automate, and CI/CD pipelines for automating report deployment and monitoring.ETL & Data Integration – Experience with ETL tools like Azure Data Factory, dbt, or Informatica to streamline data preparation.Advanced Analytics & Scripting – Knowledge of Python or R for statistical analysis, machine learning, or complex transformations.Financial & Operational Reporting – Experience creating reports for key business areas such as finance, sales, supply chain, or operations.Version Control & DevOps – Understanding of Git-based workflows for managing Power BI assets in a structured development lifecycle.Microsoft Ecosystem – Familiarity with Azure Active Directory (AAD), Microsoft Purview, and Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate) for extended integration.Above all, we’re seeking someone passionate about being part of a world-class lithium operation and contributing to a sustainable energy future!
