Description In the Project Engineering & Due Diligence team we help our Customers to develop, approve, finance, build and operate renewable energy projects by using our technical skills to undertake technical due diligence reviews, perform independent engineering and owner’s engineering services, perform structural health monitoring, undertake apparent / root cause analysis, and much more We’re a team of engineers with a knack for understanding the real-world implications of our technical reviews and communicating this to a wide range of stakeholders. Along with our DNV colleagues and counterparts from all over the world we work on projects across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. About the role Here are some of the things our civil / structural engineering team do. It would be great if you already have experience with some of these tasks, but if not, we are happy to help you develop your skill set. reviews of civil / structural engineering aspects (such as infrastructure and drainage of onshore solar and onshore wind projects) to identify risks, engineering design issues and contractual non-compliances. review of construction quality control documentation to assess compliance with the design requirements. undertake site visits to construction stage and operational renewable energy sites. develop and implement structural health monitoring solutions and analyse the data to understand whether the structures are performing as expected. work with DNV counterparts across the world to ensure we’re abreast of global issues related to civil aspects of renewable energy projects. work with DNV colleagues from other disciplines to ensure that we’re considering the interdisciplinary aspects of identified technical risks. In particular for this role we are looking for someone with experience in (at least some of) the following areas: At least 3 years experience working as a civil engineer (with background in hydrology, drainage design and/or roads). Experience with on-site inspections, monitoring or management of construction projects. Experience with the design of civil aspects of large construction projects. Experience with utility scale renewable energy or energy storage projects. Experience in developing proposals for work, including budgets, appropriate contractual terms, and undertaking negotiations on scope and price with Customers.
