Let's talk about the role and responsibilities:
An Environment Engineer provides oversight, co-ordination and governance of integrated non-production environments availability & maintenance. Environments Engineer ensures high interaction with Release and Testing teams, application teams and delivery teams for effective information gathering and communication to support all users of the environments.
Responsibilities: Support environment management strategy for specific IT non-production environments, including availability over weekends.Support application adherence to environment security policies across certificate renewals, data classification/masking & patching.Support and oversee code baseline audits of application adherence to AWS policies and procedures.Provide support for activities to ensure environments align with testing requirements, including:Scheduling and coordinating application maintenance activities.Network alignment.Database refresh and data cleanup.Provide support for activities related to environment management, including:Environment bookings and approvals.Code deployments.Review of change breaches.Outage co-ordination.Daily environment health check activities.Identify improvement and new opportunities for configuration management, environment management processes and tooling migration. Let's talk about your capability and experience: Proficiency in managing IT non-production environments, including scheduling, availability, and security compliance.AWS Knowledge: Hands-on experience with AWS policies, naming conventions, scaling, and environment management (AWS certification preferred).Security & Compliance: Strong skills in environment certificate renewals, data masking, patching, and adherence to security policies.Coordination & Communication: Ability to collaborate with release, testing, and application teams for seamless environment alignment and issue resolution.Automation & Process Improvement: Experience in optimizing environment management processes and tooling.Defect Analysis & Reporting: Expertise in analyzing environment-related defects and providing recommendations for process enhancements.Technical Support: Competency in environment health checks, code deployments, database refreshes, and outage coordination.Preferred Tools: AWS, JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow.
