We think a pretty good job starts here……… About the role: In this 12 month contract as the Isolation Planning Team Leader, you will be accountable for coordinating and directing the interface of functions within the Isolation Planning Team to produce detailed Network Intervention Plans, including the production of isolation plans to minimise network and customer disruption to ensure a positive customer experience. Key accountabilities will include but not be limited to: Ensure that all isolation plans are produced and approved with appropriate contingency measures defined to reduce operational risk to the network and unnecessary disruption to customers, ensuring impacted customers receive 48 hours’ notice of outages to meet the requirements of Unitywater’s customer charter. Coordinate and direct the daily interface with Control Room team to ensure Isolation Plans are issued to the Control Room with a detailed handover to enable the Control Room staff to direct and control the execution of isolation plans. Work in collaboration with the Contact Centre team to ensure affected suburbs of Planned Outages are communicated with advance notice and that the service interruptions page is reflects accurate information. Conduct post-outage reviews to identify planning or process improvements and data inaccuracies ensuring improvements are actioned and AKAP are notified of required data changes. Lead and direct isolation planning to ensure safe drinking water requirements are met and water quality risks including the potential for dirty water is mitigated by means of appropriate flushing plans. Collaborate with Works Planning Team Leader to establish works coordination impacts and direct the Isolation Planning Team functions to ensure isolation plans are developed in accordance with the integrated works plan and meet safe working requirements and safe drinking water requirements. About you: To contribute to Unitywater’s values of Reliability, Safety, Honesty & Integrity, Efficiency, One Team, Innovation, you will ideally demonstrate the following skills and qualities for the role: Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering or other relevant qualification coupled with significant applied experience in this field. Highly developed leaderships and communication skills to lead and manage a diverse technical function that interfaces with business critical functions. Demonstrated track record in keeping abreast with technological changes and a proven ability to lead highly technical discussion with experienced personnel. Demonstrated ability to translate a highly technical topic into corporate terms to effectively communicate opportunities and risk. Significant experience working in a 24/7 environment that has significant organisational impact and urgency associated. Significant experience working with operational technologies and systems such as SCADA, GIS, CMMS. Demonstrated ability to direct outcomes during times of elevated urgency by applying a systematic and deductive approach to complex problem solving, gathering and processing relevant information and delivering confident decisions.
