About this role
The Home Care Worker is responsible for providing home care clients with assistance, support and encouragement of independence to reside in their chosen community. We are looking for committed and enthusiastic, qualified home care workers who have their competency certificate in ‘Assist Clients with Medication’ to become part of our West Moreton Home Care team.
This role is a casual position. We are seeking candidates who are willing to accept shifts with minimal notice when we require unplanned coverage.
In this varied role you will:
* Provide personal care assistance to clients.
* Help clients with cleaning, shopping, meal preparation and other light housework.
* Assist with clients' medication.
* General domestic assistance; assist in the preparation and cooking of in-home meals.
* Provide social support to clients by providing transport, assisting with social outings, shopping etc.

As a dedicated employee, your understanding and acceptance to prioritise shifts with minimal notice will contribute to client satisfaction and quality of life.
To be suitable for this position, ideally you have:
* Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent.
* Completion of the following units of competency: HLTHPS006 – Assist clients with medication, HLTAAP001 - Recognise healthy body systems, CHCCCS031 – Provide individualised support.
* Current driver’s licence.
* A comprehensively insured vehicle that is suitable and available to be used for work purposes.
* Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
* Current First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificates.
Possess or willing to obtain:
* Current National Police Certificate.
* Current Influenza Vaccination.
