Project Director, Monash Medical Centre Tower Expansion The Victorian Government is investing $535 million to deliver an expanded Monash Medical Centre, a large upgrade to build new operating theatres, create a new intensive care unit and deliver extra beds and birthing suites. The project will deliver a new seven-story tower above the newly expanded emergency department. The tower will include new operating suites with theatres and pre-op and post-op beds. The upgrade will also deliver birthing suites as well as building a new maternity ward. The Monash Medical Centre is an important teaching and research hospital in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs. About VHBA The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VHBA also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines. The Project Director will lead the planning, development, and construction of the Monash Medical Centre Tower project for the Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA), overseeing complex budgets, schedules, and procurement models within a defined contract framework. This role involves managing a high-performing team to deliver exceptional outcomes on time, while navigating a multidisciplinary environment with senior stakeholders. The Project Director will provide expert input into planning, delivery, and progress reporting, and will oversee consultants and contractors daily. Additionally, the role includes liaising with contractors and hospital operations to ensure seamless functionality during construction.
