You’ll bring expertise, maturity and strong time management and organisational skills to the role.Successful candidates will provide supports to cover NDIS participants living in the following areas (depending on where you live): Port Macquarie, Kempsey, Laurieton, Harrington, Crescent Head, Southwest Rocks, Wauchope & surrounding areas.We love working in our local community and making a difference in the lives of our participants. No two days are ever the same! You might find us in daycare centres, in schools and homes, and even on day trips to Kempsey or Camden Haven – we might even bump into you on one of our monthly Wellness Walks along the glorious Port Mac break wall - we love supporting our stunning regional area!You will support vulnerable members of the community by acting as an advocate and role model. On a daily basis, you will be:Assisting NDIS participants, along with their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning.Evaluating, developing and delivering evidence-based support plans within a complex support space.Developing meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising a positive behaviour support framework, and with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and community.Ensuring individual plans reflect our NDIS participants' goals, passions and strengths.Building the knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support participants in their lives - family, carers, friends, etc.Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners.As you support many, we support you!
