Salary: Level 2, $66,449 - $71,191 per annum (pro-rata) (DOE (SSO) CA 2022)
We are seeking to establish a pool of school officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year.
Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

As School Officers, you will be the first point of contact for our school and be responsible for completing administrative duties including greeting all visitors, answering the telephone and responding to routine enquiries and requests for information.
You should model effective and quality customer and administrative support services delivery and use excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work in collaboration with the administration team, school support staff, our school community and teaching staff.
Winthrop PS is a vibrant, happy, and friendly school with all staff working together as a team to ensure the students have the best possible education.
You will provide assistance to other members of the school administration team with maintaining school databases, records and management information systems to ensure they are accurate and up to date.
Suitable applicants should possess strong written and oral communication skills necessary to assist develop school marketing materials and newsletters.
It is desirable that the successful applicant has a thorough knowledge of Department of Education databases and records management systems.
Accordingly, you will have strong financial skills, including the ability to process transactions to completion within resource management (RM) Billing and RM Finance.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Assist with administrative tasks including greeting visitors, answering the telephone and responding to routine enquiries and requests for information.
* Provide assistance to other members of the school administration team with maintaining school databases, records and management information systems.
* Develop school marketing materials and newsletters using strong written and oral communication skills.
* Process transactions to completion within resource management (RM) Billing and RM Finance.
Working Conditions
The successful applicant will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and will be expected to meet deadlines and priorities as determined by the Principal or nominee.
The role involves regular interactions with staff, students and parents and requires the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
A valid Working With Children Check and National Criminal History Check will be required prior to commencement.
Requirements
* Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
* Ability to obtain a valid Working With Children Check and National Criminal History Check.
* Consent to a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.
Selection Criteria
* Demonstrated experience in providing effective administrative support with the ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively.
* Demonstrated experience in financial processes and procedures, including the handling of debtors, creditors, reconciliations, and/or preparing financial returns.
* Demonstrated ability in using computers and a range of application software packages, particularly databases, spreadsheets, and word processing.
* Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills and experience in the application of customer service principles and practices.
* Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment.
