This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with data and eager to grow their career into a Data Engineer position. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python, SQL, and data manipulation, with exposure to modern tools like DuckDB and cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will play a key role in analysing data, building pipelines, and supporting the development of scalable data solutions, with opportunities to expand your skill set into data engineering over time.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyse and interpret complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.Write efficient and optimised SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data.Use Python for data manipulation, cleaning, and analysis (e.g., pandas, NumPy).Collaborate with the team to design and implement data pipelines and workflows.Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.Assist in building scalable data infrastructure and contribute to the development of ELT processes.Ensure data quality and integrity through validation and monitoring processes.Learn and apply data engineering concepts, tools, and best practices to support future growth into a Data Engineer role.Required Skills and QualificationsProficiency in Python for data manipulation and analysis (e.g., pandas, NumPy).Strong SQL skills for querying and transforming data.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Ability to communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Preferred Skills and QualificationsExperience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, such as BigQuery.Familiarity with DuckDB for analytical workloads.Knowledge of data modelling and ELT processes.Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and version control systems (e.g., Terraform, Git).Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.Domain knowledge in the media, digital marketing or agency world is a bonus.This role is designed to provide a clear pathway to becoming a Data Engineer.
