Your role
A great opportunity currently exists for a Senior Associate, to join our well regarded Health, and Human Services industry group. Work closely with Partner Penelope Eden, lead of MinterEllison's national Human Services Practice and a high performing team of senior industry legal experts.
You will be involved in a variety of work including provision of regulatory and policy advice, transactional and structuring advice (in conjunction with our corporate and financial services lawyers), reviewing and drafting a range of aged care agreements, management of incidents and complaints involving regulators, claims, inquiries and inquests, risk management, policy drafting, quality reviews, privacy and access to records.
Our clients are broad and range from not-for-profit and charitable organisations, private and ASX listed operators, insurers and public and private healthcare operators.
In addition to having a strong health law background, specialisation and a genuine interest in the aged care and disability sector is a bonus for any candidate.
More about you
We welcome applications from lawyers with:
* Experience in health, aged care and disability (or adjacent social services sectors);
* Strong background in statutory interpretation and administrative law;
* Strong technical and drafting skills and the ability to deliver quality, commercial and pragmatic advice that takes account of the policy and regulatory settings;
* Litigation and advocacy experience;
* A strong client focus and demonstrated ability to form enduring relationships with peers, clients and industry stakeholders;
* Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment across a range of lines of business (and offices);
* Willingness to contribute to business development and thought leadership initiatives including presentations, client training and publications;
