The Ipswich Head to Health (HTH) Centre, funded by Darling Downs and West Morton PHN, offers inclusive, low-stigma mental health services, providing assessment, triage, referrals, and immediate support. It caters to individuals at all levels of need, fostering an innovative and flexible approach to service delivery.
The opportunity:
Join our team at Head to Health Ipswich as a Senior Social Worker. With the support of the Clinical Lead, you’ll apply your expertise to deliver high-quality, discipline specific and mental health evidence-based interventions. Your role will involve addressing consumers' mental health needs using recovery-oriented, strength-based, and trauma-informed methods. Additionally, you will oversee both clinical and non-clinical personnel while handling a 0.75 full-time workload caseload.
On a day-to-day basis you will:
* Provide advanced, evidence-based psychosocial assessment and care coordination for individuals with mental illness, adhering to professional standards and ethics, with minimal clinical oversight and actively advocating for and enhancing the health and wellbeing of service consumers.
* Delivery of high-level consultation, assessment, and intervention for the Head to Health service where social work is indicated for consumers who are triaged as having high level needs that affect their mental, physical, or emotional wellbeing.
* Offer advanced brief therapeutic interventions to consumers, employing a diverse array of evidence-based methodologies such as psychoeducation, CBT, DBT, IPT, ACT, and SFT, tailored to address complex and broad ranging presentations.
* Advocate for mental health needs of consumers, provide client-centered care, provide clinical supervision, and support onsite student placements.
* Uphold confidentiality, comply with legislative requirements, and actively participate in clinical reviews and team discussions.
Benefits to you:
Besides shaping an innovative mental health service with dedicated staff and supportive leaders fostering a strong team culture, you'll enjoy competitive pay with annual incremental increases and a work environment that prioritises professional growth, skill-building, and staff well-being.
Additional benefits include:
* Joining a newly formed positive, inclusive, values-focussed team.
* Opportunity to salary package up to $15,900 of tax-free income.
* Access to an Employee Assistance Program.
* Rewards program that offers discounts on hundreds of household brands.
* Access to appropriate and supportive clinical supervision.
* Competitive compensation to align with clinical skillset.
