Learn more about Ikon.About the RoleThe Head of Domestic Recruitment will develop and implement a strategic domestic marketing and sales plan for EDU, playing a key role in leading the Group’s domestic student recruitment efforts.In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible to set-up our domestic sales contact centre, collaborate closely with Marketing and Admissions functions, and develop the team to drive the achievement of domestic enrolment targets.You will also establish and maintain strong relationships with industry partners to create and nurture recruitment opportunities.This role will be based in our Sydney campus.Key Responsibilities:Domestic Student RecruitmentOwn and deliver domestic recruitment targets, including course-specific, campus, and delivery mode targets.Collaborate with Marketing and external agencies to ensure a sufficient volume of high-quality leads.Develop and implement engagement strategies to convert prospective students from enquiry through to enrolment.Drive sales training initiatives and process improvements to enhance team performance.Represent EDU at recruitment events and travel to key market areas to boost market presence and drive enrolment.Build and maintain relationships with industry partners to identify and secure student recruitment opportunities.Work closely with Academic leadership to align recruitment strategies with course offerings and student success.Partner with Student Experience teams to ensure seamless transitions from enrolment to orientation and retention.Ensure all recruitment activities comply with higher education regulatory requirements and industry best practices.MarketingStay informed on trends and developments in the domestic student market.Contribute to the development of EDU’s strategic domestic marketing and recruitment plan.Identify and evaluate market opportunities for EDU’s products and make recommendations for growth.Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop and execute domestic marketing campaigns.Monitor competitor strategies and market trends to ensure EDU remains competitive.Budgeting and ReportingContribute to the development of annual recruitment targets and budgets for domestic student enrolment.Efficiently manage domestic recruitment budgets, ensuring cost-effective strategies.Track, assess, and report recruitment performance metrics, adjusting strategies as necessary to maximize ROI.Forecast recruitment outcomes and report performance to the General Manager, Future Students, with insights and recommendations for improvement.Team LeadershipLead, manage, and support recruitment teams, including setting goals, performance management, and providing coaching and mentoring.Conduct performance reviews and set clear objectives for all team members.Education, Experience, and Skills:Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in marketing, business, or management.At least 7 years' experience in domestic student recruitment, with a minimum of 2 years in a senior sales role within the higher education sector.Proven leadership experience, including supporting team development and performance management.Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful student recruitment strategies.Advanced skills in lead generation, consultative selling, and achieving results.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentations.Experience in drafting, presenting, and reporting against strategic plans and budgets.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.Why Join Us?Paid birthday leaveIndividual training budget for professional developmentReward and recognition programsBreakfast supplies on campusYear-round engagement eventsNovated leasing optionsEveryday benefits and savings via Flare appFun and diverse working environmentCBD location with easy access to public transportDiversity & InclusionWe celebrate diversity and are committed to reflecting Australian society to better serve our students.
