The Company
A permanent, full-time opportunity has arisen for a Jnr Payroll Officer to work with a successful and growing Distribution business based in the Southeast suburbs who are an Australian success story with a long and proud history. Going through a period of transformation, the company continually invests into its Australian operations whilst also further expanding its operations by exporting into new markets overseas.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager and as part of a small team, this position would suit someone looking to further grow their Payroll career with a global business with a larger payroll- with full mentoring/training provided. Initially the position will be more Payroll Administrative focussed, addressing payroll queries, payroll processing and managing the payroll inbox. The view for the role is for this person to become a full function Payroll Officer to provide integral support to the Payroll Manager.
With a recent acquisition, the team is undergoing a time of change and transformation with the implementation of a new Payroll system. The position offers great flexibility, being 3 days in the office,2 days at home. Your primary duties will comprise of:
* Attending payroll queries inbox
* Weekly Payroll processing (approx. 350 people)
* Data entry
* Updating employee payroll files
* Assist with new starters/terminations
* Assist Payroll accruals/journals
* Assist with payroll reporting
* Assist with month end processes
* Update systems/procedures
* Other ad-hoc duties as required by Payroll Manager
About You
You will be passionate about Payroll and obtain around minimum 1 + years’ experience. With the business undergoing a period of transformation, the candidate must have a willingness to adapt to change. The successful candidate could have previously been an Accounts/Finance Officer who has performed some Payroll duties, or a Bookkeeper wanting to enhance their Payroll skillset from a smaller to a larger scale.
