Tibra's Finance team is responsible for the daily, monthly and periodic processing for all revenue and expenses.In addition, the Finance team is responsible for the preparation of budgets and forecasts for the Tibra Group as well as aspects of payroll.Tibra's Finance team also looks after shareholder matters for the Tibra Group as well as direct and indirect tax reporting.The Finance team provides all the financial accounting and management accounting services for the Tibra Group.The Financial Accountant at Tibra can be expected to be involved in the following key activities:Preparing multi-year budgets and forecastsProviding variance analysis on deviations from budgets and forecastsPreparing Board Packs including in depth analysis of Group resultsAssisting with internal / external auditsPreparing regulatory and statutory returnsPreparing payroll journalsPreparing annual financial statementsResearching and drafting of accounting policies and proceduresMonitoring the daily trading P&Ls including reconciling trading positionsCapital calculation and reportingCompleting month-end reconciliation of cash position, cash movement and payrollCompleting the month end process for all entities including intercompany transactionsManaging expenses in a Contracts DatabaseManaging payment sign-off process and maintain bank systems/ relationshipsDriving cost saving initiatives through rigorous analysis and understanding of cost driversMaintaining relationships with the business' clearer and prime brokers, including regular meetingsLiaising with Finance staff in various regions to ensure Group Processes are followedLiaising with non-financial staff and effectively handle any queriesExperience & Qualifications:Excellent knowledge of Excel, databases and query functionalityHigh proficiency with SQLVisual Basic skills preferred but not essentialUnderstanding of shareholder issues e.g. distributionsSolid and extensive understanding of the financial markets and products traded within themCA I CPA qualifiedComputer literate with strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to learn new software applications and accounting softwareKnowledge of Netsuite accounting system an advantageFinancial Services experience desirableKey skills & attributes:A broad understanding of financial markets and productsAbility to work with a high degree of accuracyExcellent time management skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skills essential for dealing with staff and issues at all levelsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong problem solving and analytical skillsAbility to think laterallyIf this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!
