Administration Officer (Based at Wadeye, Northern Territory)The West Daly Regional Council covers 14,000 square kilometres and is located about 300 to 420 kilometres south-west of Darwin.
The area is mainly rural, with three Indigenous communities at Peppimenarti, Nganmarriyanga and Wadeye which are managed by West Daly Regional Council (Council).

Position Summary: The Administration Officer provides essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the Wadeye Office within the West Daly Regional Council.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Administrative Support and Coordination:Provide administrative support for the Wadeye Office, including record-keeping, drafting correspondence, and filing;Handle telephone calls, greet visitors, and schedule appointments and meetings;Assist and generate purchase requisitions, review invoices, and assist with the reconciliation of accounts;Manage petty cash and ensure accurate reconciliation.People & Culture Assistance:Collaborate with the Community Services Manager on payroll administration;Assist staff with entering and submitting leave;Support People and Culture team with employee related matters (onboarding, offboarding, tenancy agreements).Community Services Support:Assist with funeral arrangements for the Wadeye community;Supply Chain and Coordination:Assist to administer stationery and consumable supplies;Assist in organising catering services as requested.Communication and IT Support:Liaise effectively with all levels of staff within the Council and external organisations;Provide basic IT support to staff.Safety and Compliance:Ensure adherence to Workplace Health & Safety regulations;Address any safety concerns promptly.General Office Duties:Set up boardroom and conferencing facilities for meetings;Cleaning of all WDRC office, boardroom, accommodation spaces;Undertake general office duties and any other tasks as directed.About You To be successful in the role, you must have:
Demonstrated basic administrative and customer service experience;Basic experience with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to utilise a range of other computer programs to produce reports and correspondence;Current National Criminal History Check;Working with Children (OCHRE) Card;Why Join Our Growing Team?
