Then this is the role for you!The Neuromuscular and Neuroimmunology services aim to provide comprehensive and multidisciplinary care to patients diagnosed with Neuromuscular or Neuroimmunological conditions (including Multiple Sclerosis), as well as provide support to their families. This service is governed by the Division of Medicine and incorporates the clinical unit of Neurology, along with support from infusion centres, pharmacy, pathology, University of Canberra Hospital and radiology departments. The Neuromuscular Neuroimmunology Nurse supports medical staff in providing such care. This includes working alongside the neurology consultant and Multiple Sclerosis (MS) nurse in neuromuscular and neuroimmunology outpatient clinics, taking responsibility for organising specialist treatments for these patients, maintaining databases, coordinating multidisciplinary follow up and, where appropriate, participating in research.Please note prior to commencement successful candidates will be required to:Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.Note: This is a temporary position available for a period of three months with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency.
