Bookkeeper for an eCommerce Company in Australia (Home Based Part Time) Job Description• Bookkeeping: Accurately record financial transactions, encompassing purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, using Xero accounting software. Keep ledgers and journals precisely up to date.• Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements promptly, ironing out any discrepancies. Vigilantly monitor and categorise business expenditures, ensuring adherence to financial policies.• Assisting with weekly report preparation where required• Assisting with month end report preparation, reconciliation and workpapers where requiredSkill Set• Demonstrated experience as an Accountant or Bookkeeper, backed by a thorough grasp of accounting principles and practices. • Proficiency in NetSuite, Xero accounting software and Microsoft Excel. • Experience with Shopify • Excellent interpersonal skills, writing skills and communication • A keen eye for detail and commitment to accurate financial record-keeping. • Exceptional organizational and time-management capabilities. • Self-driven with the ability to meet deadlines in a remote work environment. • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field is highly regarded.
