We are looking for a Corporate Accountant to work with the Financial Controller and Finance Director in preparing and consolidating the budgets, statutory reports, and financial results across the ANZ operating divisions. We are looking for someone to provide guidance on corporate policy, US GAAP reporting assistance and general projects relating to restructurings, acquisitions, divestitures coordination and integration.
What you'll do:Corporate Finance Accountant is responsible for preparing and consolidating designated financial aspects of the Eaton Group of Companies in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).
Prepares the budgets, and actual financial results across ANZ operating divisions. In conjunction with the Finance Director to provide guidance on corporate policy and procedure implementation, and US GAAP reporting assistance and special projects e.g., Financing arrangements, restructurings, acquisitions/divestitures coordination and integrations.
In addition, this role will include the Mobility operation business unit accounting tasks and month end support.• Prepare the consolidated Statutory Financial Statements accounts for three legal entities, two in Australia and one in New Zealand. Works with external and locations auditors to ensure appropriate interpretation of regulations and compliance. Review audit results and initiates direct corrective actions to remedy deficiencies.• Ensures Second Level Balance Sheet Review program (per financial policies) and that all corporate ledgers in Australia and New Zealand are performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and reviews.• Assists in the preparation & completions of the ANZ tax & fiscal filings, ensures accuracy and timelines of Filing of Income Tax.• Prepare Annual Payroll Tax Annual Reconciliations, FBT preparation and consolidation of data, global insurance data and any other general compliance requirements for ANZ legal entities.• Responsible for monthly closing of general ledger, ensure timely and accurately preparing internal financials for both corporate and mobility reporting.• Responsible for monthly forecasting & annual Profit Plan process to ensure that proper processes are in place for accurate forecasting of both income statement and balance sheet items especially working capital management and capital investment required.• Leverages ANZ operations finance team & Shared Service Center & cross-functional resources to solve problems, improve processes and meet Financial Operational Excellence objectives.• Interpret, implement, and administer effective corporate policies and procedures, ensure financials are reported in compliance with local statutory requirements.• Identifies and spreads best practices across Australia and New Zealand. Drives standardization of processes as applicable and appropriate with ISSC. Continue to drive full transfer end to end processing with Share Service Centres.• Drive to implement new Programs in ANZ regions across ANZ finance team for new initiatives from Treasury, Tax, Legal, Accounting, Property, Insurance, HR.• Other ad hoc jobs responsibility and projects as required by the direct manager.
Qualifications:At least 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a large multinational or Big 4 Accounting firmStrong demonstrated experience in statutory reportingKnowledge of US GAAP and SOX highly regardedKnowledge of Oracle ECP and SAP highly ideal but not mandatoryExcellent verbal and written communication skillsTertiary qualifications in Accounting and Finance. Working towards a CPA or CA would be great.
