As we continue to grow, we are looking for experienced FMCG Operators to join our Smithfield Beverage Can plant and keep our high-speed production lines running efficiently. The opportunity: We are currently seeking experience Machine Operators to join our team at Visy Beverage Cans, Smithfield, Sydney. This is a full-time permanent role working on a rolling shift pattern, 4 shifts on, 4 days off. As an Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring seamless production by operating and maintaining cutting-edge machinery. Reporting to the Production Manager, your responsibilities will include: Machine Operation and Troubleshooting – Running, monitoring, and adjusting high-speed production equipment to maintain efficiency and product quality. Basic Maintenance and Repairs – Using power tools to perform minor mechanical adjustments and troubleshooting. Quality and Safety Compliance – Conducting routine checks to maintain production quality and adhere to strict safety and environmental standards. Downtime Prevention – Identifying and resolving mechanical issues before they impact production. Data and Reporting – Keeping accurate logs of production and maintenance activities. What You Will Bring: As our new Operator, you will have prior experience, operating machinery within High-Speed FMCG Manufacturing – Ideally in a beverage, food, or packaging environment. You will be a reliable team player, with a strong work ethic. You have good written and communication skills and processes a strong focus on Health, Safety and Environmental practices. Along with the following: Ability to work a 12-hour rotating roster – 2 days/2 nights, 4 days off Quality control and defect analysis- You will have good attention to detail and an eye for accuracy. Mechanical Aptitude – Ability to troubleshoot machinery and perform minor adjustments using basic tools Forklift License Desirable but Not Essential – Advantageous for material handling tasks.
