Two full-time general practitioners are required for this Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO) in the family-friendly town of South Hedland. The town has excellent facilities with plenty of attractions popular among young families, including great primary schools. This unique opportunity will suit practitioners who want to make a difference in Aboriginal health. The clinic has excellent support services, which include nurses, midwives, child health nurses, Aboriginal health practitioners, and administration staff. The clinic works closely with their social and emotional wellbeing centre to provide holistic care, including an in-house counsellor, tackling Indigenous smoking officers, and an NDIS team.
RVTS Training: Interested in RVTS training? This location has been approved as an RVTS targeted location. RVTS will be accepting online applications from 14 August to 4 September 2023 with successful candidates commencing RVTS Training in late January 2024.
The Practice: ACCHS situated in South Hedland across from the hospital. Open 8.30 am to 5.00 pm, Monday - Friday.
The Requirements:
On call: No hospital or nursing home obligations.
The Package:
Remuneration: Salary is $250,000 plus superannuation.
Accommodation: Fully furnished house with air conditioning subsidy from October to March.
Vehicle: Vehicle provided. Any use above 100 Km will need authorization from the CEO.
Leave: 5 weeks of annual leave, 10 days personal leave, 10 days study leave, 7 days Christmas closure leave.
Agreement: Employee.
Other details: Relocation assistance. Flight allowance up to the value of $1,230 provided after 12 months of service (1976 hours worked). District allowance provided.
