Our ACAS team are growing and we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior RAC Funding Assessor.What will your role look like?In this role, you'll manage and oversee the activities of Residential Aged Care (RAC) Funding Assessors, ensuring high-quality assessments and maintaining compliance standards across the team. You'll also be responsible for ensuring the overall performance and quality of the RAC Funding Assessor workforce. This role will involve travel across your Region to support Funding Assessors so you need to be willing and able to travel.Day to day this includes: Managing and overseeing the activities of RAC Funding AssessorsUndertaking regular reviews and monitoring the overall quality assessment status of the RAC Funding assessor workforceManaging the overall clinical status of the RAC Funding Assessor workforceMaintaining records related to the delivery of RAC Funding AssessmentsBeing the main point of contact for aged care home managementProviding ongoing supervision and mentoring to RAC Funding AssessorsFostering a positive team culture where staff have a clear expectation of their role and responsibility and are engaged in their roleOngoing adherence with Conflict-of-Interest Policy and ProcessTo be successful in this role you'll need: Tertiary Qualification – in a health-related discipline directly related to Health, Aged Care or related specialist area (e.g. Registered Nurse, Medical Officer, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Social Worker)Current unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and unrestricted accreditation status in the role of Senior RAC Funding AssessorMinimum five (5) years demonstrated experience in Australia or Overseas directly delivering services in Aged Care settings and/or to Aged persons including to people living with dementiaDemonstrated knowledge of the Aged Care Act, AN-ACC Classification principles and Quality of Care principlesStrong level of clinical judgment and an ability to manage multiple tasks to meet time frame in a complex and fast paced environmentCurrent unrestricted Class C NSW/ACT Driver's Licence with access to reliable motor vehicleWillingness to apply for a Police CheckWhat we can offer you: Competitive hourly pay rateNot-for-profit tax benefits so you pay less taxFitness Passport discounted gym membershipsPaid Parental leaveLong Service leave after 5 yearsApply online now!Aged Care Assessment Services acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which we live, work and dream.
