The Role
This multi-faceted role will require a combination of structural engineering and estimation skills:
* Design and analyze structural components for buildings, ensuring compliance with industry codes, safety standards, and regulations.
* Conduct site inspections and troubleshoot structural design issues.
* Prepare accurate project cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
* Review project specifications, drawings, and scope.
* Assist in developing project timelines and budgets.
* Stakeholder collaboration.
The Criteria
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or other relevant qualifications and industry experience.
* Technical Proficiency: Experience with structural steel, timber framing, masonry, and concrete structures on residential or commercial projects.
* Building Codes & Regulations: In-depth understanding of relevant building codes and regulations, ensuring all work meets compliance standards.
* Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective client interactions.
* Problem Solver: An analytical mindset and proactive approach to tackle engineering challenges.
