We are actively seeking a Maintenance Foreman to join us in our African Operations. This role is responsible for working back-to-back with the current Maintenance Foreman in supporting and managing the maintenance function inclusive of personnel and equipment to ensure the maintenance work is planned and completed in a safe and cost-effective manner.
We are looking for an individual with boundless energy, a willingness to learn and a can-do attitude towards the role that is responsible for the following:
1. Ensuring sites are following the relevant Acts and Regulations are adhered to, and the company safety standards and policies are followed.
2. Ensuring all maintenance support activities comply with standards, legislation and company policies and procedures.
3. Developing and monitoring the scope of work for projects, ensuring risk management process are followed and reporting on progress.
4. Liaising with operations and internal departments (e.g., supply) throughout a project’s lifecycle.
5. Providing coaching and development to site foreman and leading hands.
6. Assist with the min/max levels across the group’s sites.
7. Providing recommendations on business improvement opportunities in the maintenance function.
Key requirements for the successful candidate include the following:
8. Experience in high productivity mining or heavy industry contract environment.
9. Previous experience in Senior Maintenance roles across different countries and cultures.
10. Demonstrated time management, planning and cost management skills.
11. The ability to influence and engage with operational personnel, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
12. Strong observation and analytical skills that translate to improvements across the maintenance function.
13. Highly experienced with information management system and reporting tools (e.g., Pronto) including valuing the importance of information security.
14. Trade Certificate essential.
15. Asset Management skills strongly desired.
16. Microsoft Project experience (desirable)
17. Mechanical Engineering Degree highly regarded.
