What Success Looks Like:
The Australian Government recently allocated an extra $220 million to upgrade manufacturing facilities in Benalla and Mulwala. You will lead Mulwala’s ongoing asset replacement, enhancement and new manufacturing facilities projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery. You'll also build and maintain strong relationships with critical Australian Government stakeholders, reinforcing our status as a trusted manufacturing partner. This role will enable you to Project Manage the activities, to support the decommissioning, ongoing ‘keep safe’ activities, and demolition of redundant facilities at the Mulwala site. This will also include the preservation of some buildings.
Key activities and responsibilities include:
* Manage a team to achieve successful delivery of demolition programs, management and site supervision of contracted service providers and associated site services.
* Project manage all aspects of associated with the project activities including estimating and seeking funding.
* Ensuring compliance with Commonwealth of Australia, processes as relevant e.g. Environment & Heritage requirements, ECCs, Asset disposal practices, simple and complex procurement etc.
* Ensure that activities are completed in accordance with the Safety Management System i.e. MOC, JSEAs, SWMS, Inductions, Permit to work etc.
About You:
* Project Management experience in Capital Project environments with proven experience in report writing, supervision of contractor activities, work planning and cross-functional stakeholder collaboration.
* Experience in Project Management tools experience e.g. Primavera, MS Project etc.
* Experience with safety management systems including risk assessment and permit to work systems.
* Past experience in petrochemical, mining or hazardous material projects a distinct advantage.
* Diploma / Degree in Project Management is highly desirable.
