The National Health Information Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare at Ramsay Health Care Australia. Partnering with hospital executives, HIM and HIS teams, payors, and industry leaders, you'll drive the strategic and operational plans that make Ramsay an integrated leader in health services. In this dynamic role, you'll take ownership of key functions across health information services, ensuring excellence in documentation quality, education, training, recruitment, coding, governance, records management, reporting, and audit. You'll also oversee remote working capabilities, fostering a culture of innovation, quality, and compliance, all while making a lasting impact on healthcare delivery. This role can be based in Queensland, New South Wales, or Victoria. About You To excel in this role, you'll need expertise in documentation, coding, records management, and reporting, along with strong leadership to drive innovation, maintain high standards, and support Ramsay's vision as a leader in integrated health services.Key Accountabilities Develop and implement structures and processes to optimise team deployment and support flexible work practices.Drive talent attraction and retention through effective engagement and training frameworks.Establish a quality and audit framework ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance in coding and documentation.Ensure transparency, accountability, and compliance with standards, contracts, and legislation.Oversee governance of health information services, including records management and national work practices.Lead the Clinical Documentation Improvement and clinical coding optimisation programs, including digitisation and coder advocacy.Collaborate on the success of the Clinical Coding Audit and Payor Contracting Compliance programs.Mentor and support health information services managers and teams to foster growth and performance.Build strong relationships with stakeholders to improve collaboration and the success of health information services functions.Represent and advocate for health information services management functions across departments and projects.Your Skills and Experience Bachelor of Health Information Management (HIM) or equivalent qualifications eligible for membership with the Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA).Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior HIM role, with a proven track record in leading and managing team performance.Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all organisational levels and with external stakeholders.Experience managing end-to-end Health Information Services within an Australian hospital setting.Operational expertise in patient information systems and reporting, with a strong understanding of data management and analytics.Advanced relationship management, consultation, change management, influencing, and negotiation skills to drive organisational objectives.Understanding of revenue operations in a complex organisation, including knowledge of financial challenges, risks, and cost drivers.Proven experience in leading functions without direct reporting authority, demonstrating leadership and influence.Tertiary qualifications in business, leadership, and operational management, supporting a strategic approach to service delivery.Expertise in process redesign, including both theoretical knowledge and practical application for continuous improvement.About Ramsay Health Care Founded in Australia in 1964, Ramsay Health Care is the nation's largest private hospital operator and a leader in global healthcare excellence.
