We have an exciting opportunity to join the Library team in a Library Applications Analyst role. You will work independently, and as part of a team to improve the experience of students, academics, and researchers in discovering and accessing library resources.
This role will ensure that library applications interoperate with other enterprise systems at the University of Adelaide and supports the implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of library systems, applications, and processes.
As part of the Collections & Access Services team, this position plays a critical role in ensuring that all digital library systems and services provide a high-quality user experience for the University of Adelaide community.
Key elements to this role include:
1. Assessing and advocating for improvements to library systems and related processes.
2. Thorough documentation of systems including key interfaces with university systems.
3. Seizing opportunities for library technologies to positively impact teaching, learning, and research outcomes.
This role will suit someone who has technical experience combined with a capability to learn and innovate.
To be successful you will need:
1. Demonstrated experience in supporting integration between existing systems in a complex operating environment.
2. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the capacity to make informed decisions regarding complex issues.
3. Well-developed interpersonal skills allowing effective communication with staff across the organisation and a demonstrated commitment to a high level of customer service.
4. Demonstrated capacity to work as an effective team member or independently as required by the task or situation.
5. Knowledge of contemporary use of APIs, HTML, CSS, and scripting languages such as PowerShell.
6. Sound experience in functional system administration and configuration and current awareness of emerging technology and trends relevant to academic libraries.
