Job Title: Principal Property Advisor
Location: Queensland
The Office of the Coordinator-General seeks a highly skilled Principal Property Advisor to join the Land Acquisition and Asset Management team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in facilitating large-scale infrastructure projects across Queensland by overseeing the compulsory acquisition of land.
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage the compulsory acquisition of land in accordance with the State Development and Public Works Organisation Act 1971
* Negotiate compensation in accordance with the Acquisition of Land Act 1967
* Negotiate and manage consultancy and professional contractor agreements
* Provide expert advice to senior executives on legislation interpretation and project delivery mechanisms under the State Development and Public Works Organisation Act 1971
* Undertake research, analysis, and interpretation of matters relating to land and tenure to assist in project delivery
* Prepare timely and well-researched briefings, reports, submissions, and correspondence
* Represent the Office of the Coordinator-General in discussions with other departments, statutory bodies, and private sector organisations on issues relating to land and tenure
* Assist in the management of litigation matters arising from the compulsory acquisition of land
* Assist in the management of land owned by the Coordinator-General
