About Monash Health Women's and Newborn Monash Women's Maternity Service is part of Monash Health.
It is the largest maternity service in the State of Victoria, providing care to nearly 12000 births each year across four hospitals (Clayton, Dandenong, Casey and Sandringham) as an integrated, seamless service.
As expected for such a large service, Monash Women's provides maternity care for normal, healthy women and also for women with complex and sub-speciality needs.
Casey, Dandenong and Sandringham Hospital provide a full suite of Level 4-5 maternity services (as per Victorian Maternity services Framework), including outpatient pregnancy care clinics, inpatient services and a domiciliary postnatal service.

The sessions cover regular vacant sessions, including pregnancy and gynaecology clinics on a 4 weekly rotational basis, operating sessions as well as after hours on call sessions on weekdays.
Successful applicants will also participate in the after-hours on-call roster, covering for both Obstetrics and acute Gynaecology.
Furthermore the role will entail: Support and assist the Directors of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Services, Monash Health in the provision of high quality Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Monash Health, consistent with the Monash Health values.
Provide clinical leadership through active involvement in patient care.
Be available to medical colleagues for consultation and liaison as appropriate regarding patient care.
Be immediately available for urgent consultation and assistance in resuscitation and subsequent management of critically ill or injured patients.
Support academic, research, education, training & supervision (both undergraduate and postgraduate) roles in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Unit, Monash Health.
Support the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Unit's outreach services within Monash Health.
