The Opportunity
We seek an exceptional risk management leader to embed a robust risk-aware culture across our diverse operations.
This position offers the opportunity to design, implement, and oversee integrated enterprise-wide risk frameworks that span clinical safety, aviation safety, regulatory compliance, and governance.
You will work closely with our CEO, Board, and Executive Leadership Team to ensure we maintain our exemplary performance in risk management, safety, and compliance.
Your Impact
You will leverage your expertise to develop and implement a robust Enterprise Risk Management Framework that aligns with strategic objectives across clinical and aviation operations.
You will oversee clinical risk management frameworks to ensure compliance with national and state healthcare safety standards while leading the Aviation Safety Management System to embed best practices in risk and incident management.
You will drive internal audit and assurance programs to enhance organisational controls and mitigate operational risks.
You will foster a risk-aware culture that promotes accountability and continuous improvement across all levels.
Additionally, you will provide high-level risk advisory support to our Board and executive committees while ensuring compliance with CASA, ATSB, and Queensland Health accreditation standards.
About You
* Minimum ten years' senior leadership experience in risk management, compliance, governance or assurance, ideally within aviation, healthcare or not-for-profit sectors;
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Law, Aviation Safety, Healthcare Management or related field;
* Professional certifications such as Certified Risk Manager, Certified Risk Professional or GAICD (highly desirable);
* Expertise in regulatory frameworks including CASA, ATSB, ISO 31000 and healthcare compliance obligations;
* Proven track record in enterprise risk management strategy development and implementation;
* Superior stakeholder engagement capabilities with experience advising Boards and Executive Teams.
