An amazing opportunity has arisen with Swan Family, for a Family Contact Supervisor to work in our Sefton Children and Family Contact Centre. The successful candidate will be joining a very dynamic team delivering a crucial service to families. No direct experience is necessary as full training is provided. In this challenging but highly rewarding role, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising family time between children and their birth families at contact centres and also out and about within the community. Duties and Responsibilities: Complete a detailed recording of the observations made during these sessions and liaise with social workers, escalating any concerns as required. Join a child-focused, creative and supportive team, with a strong emphasis on being a good corporate parent. Transport and escort children and young people. Observe and supervise contact between children, young persons and parents, including other family members. Risk manage and intervene as necessary to safeguard children. Have good report writing skills to factually describe observations within the contact session within the agreed time scale. Attend and participate in planning meetings or reviews as required. Follow safeguarding procedures of Swan Family and its clients at all times. Report any safeguarding concerns promptly. Attend supervision and training courses in relation to the tasks as required. Essential Requirements: NVQ level 3 in children and young people workforce or related fields (this is essential and will not be able to move forward with an application without this). A current DBS for working with adults and children - we can assist you. Desirable Requirements: A driving licence and access to a car is desirable but not essential. We are looking for contact supervisors who are able to understand the importance of child-centred services that make a difference to the families we work with. It is important that candidates are empathetic, have good communication skills, and are non-judgemental in their practices. This role is ideal for social work students or those looking to pursue a career in social care.
