Title: Team Leader
Employment: Full time / Permanent
Salary: $37.35 per hour plus super and NFP Salary packaging. (Dependent on experience)
Location: Brighton, TAS
About the role
We have a position available at Able Australia for dedicated Team Leader in Brighton. This role will suit a current Team Leader or Senior Disability Support Workers who is passionate about our clients receiving high quality care and enjoys leading their team by example.
Responsibilities
* Service Excellence: Ensure our clients receive high quality individualised services
* People Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of Disability Support Workers, across two SIL locations
* Incident Management: Respond appropriately to the compliments, complaints, and incidents process
* Business and Financial Management: Assist the Area Manager in the preparation of service delivery, program, and project budgets
As a Team Leader you will have dedicated administrative days and direct client support shifts both on weekdays and weekends, plus participate in the on-call rotation.
Skills and experience required to be successful in this role:
* Experienced in managing a team of Support Workers or similar
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to build relationships with the team, clients and families
* Relevant experience in the Disability sector and working in Supported Independent Living
* Effective written and verbal communication skills
* Computer literacy – advanced MS Office, iPads and other systems (e.g. Carelink)
* Collaborative team player - works well with others, by doing what is needed to strive for a common goal
Desirable:
* Accreditations and technicalities – Advanced Diploma in Disability, Certificate IV in Disability or similar; First Aid (Level 2); Medication Administration qualification; Auslan desirable although not required for all sites.
