This exciting opportunity will allow you to develop your skills in the middle office area and be part of exciting change. The role of Client Service Analyst will play a key role in the Branch Middle Office team (MID), reporting to the MID Director. The Analyst will assist drive the creation, implementation and execution of the middle office for JCBD in Australia and New Zealand.The JC MID Analyst of the MID team covering Japanese Corporate Banking Department (JCBD), covers a wide range of responsibilities. As the key support of JCBD in MID, the Analyst will focus on building a strong relationship with customers of Japanese Corporate across all Australian and New Zealand and to provide efficient and high-level support to the JCBD business. This support includes communication and liaison with external customers and internal stakeholders.This position also supports the creation of a strengthened JCBD middle office support. The Analyst will work closely with Relationship Managers (RMs) and members of the client support team within JCBD, and ultimately contribute to achieving revenue targets of Japanese Corporate and Japanese Corporate Oceania.Furthermore, you will have the opportunity for broader scope across Client Services and Credit functions. This role supports the delivery of improvements and efficiencies to the wider Oceania business via the middle office. The MID department is part of regional plans to standardise and uplift processes.What you’ll be doing:This role includes a variety of responsibilities, dedicated to the Japanese Corporate Banking Department;Management of client service requests across a breadth of all markets and associated products and servicesSupporting the Product, Relationship Managers and Portfolio teams with middle office supportSupport the Director on the creation of the middle office framework with presentations and process mapsSupport the business’ compliance with internal processes and policies and other ad hoc supportSpecific tasks supporting JCBD on middle office-related tasks are:Build relationships with key internal stakeholders (Compliance, Product teams, JCBD planning, COO, Operations, JCBD RMs and Portfolio)Policy governance and Operational risk control function and interface the JCIB business for HO / CPPD policyProject manage and carry out the JC middle office processes, including designing roles & responsibilitiesWrite and document middle office processes into a front office manualWhat we are looking for:Min. 2 years’ experience in a bank in a middle office function, particularly with Japanese Corporate clientsJapanese speaking written and reading skills (will be favourably viewed)Undergraduate Business / Commerce / Law Degree from a leading universityGood Knowledge of middle office processes related to Corporate clientsMiddle office experience will be viewed favourablyStrong communication skills, both written and verbalDetail-oriented and organizedAbility to work collaboratively across departmentsExternal customer facing experience is essentialThe ability to communicate clearly both in writing and verballyHas strong interpersonal and presentations skillsIs a team playerIs a self-starter who applies initiative and has drive and enthusiasmOur culture:MUFG fosters a highly professional, supportive work environment that enables our employees to help maximize our customers' prosperity.
