About the Role Bundoora Homestead Art Centre is the public art gallery for the City of Darebin, hosting contemporary visual arts and craft exhibitions and an onsite café set in a heritage mansion and gardens.
This role forms part of the Operations team that is responsible for all venue operation and front of house support for Bundoora Homestead Art Centre.
Members of this team are the first point of contact for all patrons, hirers and visitors to the venue.
• Greet customers at the gallery reception area and provide informed and accessible information about current exhibitions and events • Prepare and serve snacks and drinks to customers in the Homestead Café • Assist with delivery of community workshops and events • Assist the team with general administration support • Provide friendly, focussed and inclusive customer service to patrons and users of Bundoora Homestead Art Centre Skills & Experience • At least one year's experience in face-to-face customer service, cash handling and food and beverage operations.
• Experience and/or strong interest in an arts or cultural facility • Experience in operating espresso machines and excellent barista skills • Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate • A current Working with Children Card Culture As a progressive leader in Local Government, Darebin City Council is passionate about social inclusion, sustainability, engagement and service excellence.
