About Us:
Cura Day Hospitals Group (Cura) is actively seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Nursing (DoN) to join forces with our CEO (KPH & SCDS) in leading our team at Sunshine Coast Day Surgery in Maroochydore, a stunning location in Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. Our facility is a fully accredited, twin-theatre, and dedicated gastroenterology unit, known for its cutting-edge medical technology and commitment to high-quality patient care. As part of the vibrant Sunshine Coast, we deliver a range of surgical services—including Ophthalmology, Gastroenterology, Plastic Surgery, Dental, Orthopaedic, and IVF/Gynaecology—to meet the needs of our growing community.
As the Sunshine Coast undergoes significant infrastructure expansion, this role offers the unique opportunity to lead in a region poised for growth, where your contributions will directly support the area’s future development.
About the Role:
We’re looking for an energetic, hands-on DoN who leads by example, with the vision and drive to strengthen our standing as a premier day surgery. The ideal candidate will thrive in a versatile role, where they can promote the hospital’s mission and play a key part in its ongoing success and growth.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
We’re looking for candidates who can meet the following essential criteria:
* AHPRA Registration and relevant post-graduate nursing qualifications and/or tertiary management qualifications
* At least 5 years’ post-graduate nursing experience
* Perioperative experience (advantageous)
* At least 1 year in a senior administrative role (e.g., Nursing Unit Manager or higher)
* Knowledge of ACQSHC National Standards, Industrial Relations, and contemporary clinical practice
* Skills in project management, health funding models, and healthcare regulation
* Business acumen and a strategic, patient-focused mindset
