About the Role
As a Residential Manager, you will oversee the Home to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff. You will lead a dedicated team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
* Oversee the Home to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff.
* Develop and implement annual budgets in collaboration with the ROM and Commercial Manager Residential.
* Ensure accuracy in claiming commonwealth subsidies and manage expenditure efficiently.
* Maintain the Home's accreditation and safety and quality standards.
* Implement systems to monitor customer service actions and exceed stakeholder expectations.
* Provide leadership and support to ensure optimum staff performance and development.
* Engage with residents and their families to create a community atmosphere that promotes well-being and happiness.
About You
* You will have a bachelor's degree in nursing and minimum of 5 yrs clinical experience.
* A suitable management qualification accompanied by at least 5 years of experience leading senior operational teams.
* Demonstrated experience in the leadership and management of a large residential aged home.
* Demonstrated experience in developing and managing budgets.
* Demonstrated experience managing risk within aged care/health care settings.
* High level analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrated change management experience within aged care.
* Excellent organisation, delegation and communication skills (written and verbal).
* Exceptional leadership abilities that encourage best practices and high performance within a team environment.
* Ability to meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
* Extensive experience in monitoring service quality and effectiveness and identifying opportunities for improvement within an early intervention approach.
* Excellent relationship building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Understanding of the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI) and Australian Government Aged Care Subsidies and Commonwealth Aged Care Act 1997.
* Post graduate qualifications in dementia and/or palliative care disciplines - desirable.
