About The OpportunityDue to our growth and internal movement, we have an opportunity for an immediate start for the right candidate.
As a Funeral Assistant, your role will be diverse and varied.
You will:
Support Funeral Directors and Conductors on Funeral Services;Assist families and guests on Funeral Services;Wash and maintain vehicle fleet;Safely drive Hearses and Transfer Vehicles. Driving is a large part of what we do; First Call Retrievals (Transfers) from residences, nursing homes, hospitals and other health facilities;Participate in our After Hours Funeral Transfer Roster;Support the Team in various ways each and every day. *This is NOT a mortuary position and will have minimal exposure to mortuary operations. What You'll NeedAs part of your role, you will be required to participate in our rotating After Hours Roster. You will need to have high levels of physical fitness and be comfortable with death, deceased people and expressions of emotion and grief.
You will require a current, open (unrestricted) drivers license with clean driving history. Experience is preferred, however training is available for the right candidate.
