We know the right culture combined with purposeful technology will help us meet demand and deliver certainty for our clients.
About the opportunity
The Victorian Government’s North East Link Program is Victoria’s biggest road project that will fix the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network. The project will connect the Eastern Freeway to the M80 Ring Road with new twin tunnels, taking 15,000 trucks a day off local roads and slashing travel times by up to 35 minutes.
The project includes a massive overhaul of the Eastern Freeway, creating new express lanes and Melbourne’s first dedicated busway with two new park and ride facilities improving access to public transport in the eastern suburbs.
Laing O’Rourke is working with North East Link Program, Symal, Arcadis, and WSP to develop and deliver value-for-money engineering solutions for North East Link Program’s South Package, which includes Eastern Freeway upgrades between Burke Road and Tram Road.
