We are looking to hire a Specialist (equivalent to a Consultant/Senior Consultant in Big4 consulting) to join our Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) team in any of Sydney, Melbourne, Perth or Brisbane.
As a Specialist, you will be an integral member of a team delivering core strategy, risk and compliance solutions to clients across a variety of industries including financial services, energy & resources, corporate and government. Your work will include advising clients on the development and implementation of strategic planning and risk frameworks, the assessment of risk programs, the implementation of controls testing and uplift, as well as the design and implementation of compliance programs. Previous experience in energy transition, climate reporting, greenwashing risk mitigation, native title, heritage or land access approvals is an advantage.
You will be responsible for delivering strategic ESG and risk solutions, as well as providing effective communication to clients, maintaining key Ashurst and client relationships, and contributing to the growth and development of the Risk Advisory practice and ESG team in Australia.

About You:
1. You have 2-5 years of specialised ESG/sustainability experience, ideally within a consulting environment, and are comfortable with the common tools, frameworks and standards in this space.
2. Experience working with Native Title and heritage projects and approvals is highly desirable.
3. You're a self-starter who is keen to work in a fast-paced environment that is always evolving and requires you to be proactive, confident and humble.
4. You have proven experience delivering high quality work for clients and stakeholders in line with expectations and deadlines, including sustainability programs and projects, such as environmental and climate change strategy or Traditional Owner engagement.
5. You're confident in autonomously finding solutions to a range of problems, especially those related to risk management, in a commercial and client focused way.
6. You have exceptional written and verbal communication with a focus on attention to detail. You will have experience writing a range of business documents including reports, letters and proposals.
7. You have experience providing the highest quality service to clients and fostering professional and commercial relationships with a range of stakeholders.
8. You're passionate about collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to solve client problems. You actively seek and welcome feedback to support the development of your skills and expertise.
9. You're enthusiastic to continue learning and developing your skills and knowledge daily.
10. You're excited to work in a team that allows you to take on more responsibility and pro-actively get involved in a range of work, including client interaction and business development.
