You will be responsible for continually working on the warehouse floor, encouraging fellow associates to do the right thing and be an example of what is expected of all.Responsibilities:Picking up and disposing of any trash or debris on the warehouse floorsIdentifying, addressing and communicating to management in a clear and concise manner issues such as unsafe situations, damaged products, and reviewing reserve slotsInvestigating and addressing forklift errorsInvestigating and addressing damaged productsCommunicating with Operations leaders to ensure pallets are flowing out of the aisles and tunnels quickly and effectivelyEnsuring forklift operators are putting empty pallets at the proper end cap locationsEnsuring aisles and tunnels are being maintained, free of debris – floors swept, scrubbed, etc.Removing any equipment that is parked in an aisle or any other non-authorized area – moving to designated parking areasEnsuring all products are in their proper slots – including all overflow productsRemoving damaged products from aisles, slots, and tunnels – bringing them to the proper reclamation area if the product cannot be salvaged within the aisleAssisting with product put away and damage recoup when neededEnsuring adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and industry standardsAssisting in cleaning and maintaining a safe working environment in the warehouseFlexibility to work various or additional shifts, as needed including evenings, weekends, and holidaysPerforming other duties as assigned by leadershipWarehouse Perishable – approx. 26F - 60FWarehouse Grocery – approx. 50F – 90FWarehouse Freezer - approx. 0 - -20FSchedule:PerishableSunday – Thursday9:00am – 5:30pmORTuesday - Saturday9:00am - 5:30pmExperience:Preferred: One (1) year distribution, warehouse or selection experiencePreferred: MHE experience (Electric pallet jacks such as center riders or long forks; forklifts)Skills:Safety Culture: Maintain and drive safety policies to all associates; driving for accountability of safe practices throughout shiftPhysical abilities: May be required to lift up to 80-85lbs; standing, bending, lifting and twisting for up to 90% of your shift; frequently lifting product from various heights including floor level to over your head; ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours daily; working in various temperature controlled environments; the ability to operate required material handling equipment – getting on and off equipment throughout shiftStrong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basisOrganizational Skills: Ability to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner; ability to prioritize and meet deadlinesWorking in a Team-Based Environment: Working independently and as a team player to ensure our customers are receiving orders timely and with the highest qualityQuality: Maintain integrity and high standards of product handling from all perspectives
