This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, customer-focused proposals that balance value and cost effectively.
As a key management position, the Bid Manager ensures the bid team is properly resourced and structured to develop a winning proposal.Our offices are based in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, we like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/life balance.
We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best!What You'll Do (your Why)Manage the opportunity qualification and review process for EOIs, RFIs, RFQs, tenders and major proposalsOversee the proposal process, including content acquisition and internal reviewCollaborate with industry and leadership teams to define and implement growth strategiesFacilitates the risk management process to identify bid risks and ensure an appropriate risk plan is put in placeManage all commercial and quality reviews ensuring all business and delivery stakeholders have approved all aspects of the solution and costsContinuous building of a library of best practice, collateral that can be used in proposal creationProvide regular status updates to business stakeholders in conjunction with the opportunity ownerWhat You'll BringBroad and deep understanding of technical infrastructure projects and related technology dependenciesStrong understanding and implementation of bid and proposal methods and disciplinesStrong management and reporting capabilitiesProven time management skills, with the ability to multitask and work on competing prioritiesStrong verbal and written communication, analytical and problem-solving skillsOutstanding negotiating skills with the aptitude to ensure win/win situations for all partiesKnowledge of finance management practices with a clear understanding of the relationship between costs, utilisation, and project revenueExcellent customer relationship building and management skillsStrong influencing and persuasive abilityWhy join us here at Datacom?Datacom is one of Australia and New Zealand's largest suppliers of Information Technology professional services.
