The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day accounting operations of the organisation run flawlessly. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and management, and will be able to work independently and as part of a team. The purpose of this role: Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, individual job analysis and KPI reporting Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting Provide support and leadership to the accounting operations of the organization, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger Ensure end to end financial management of large scale projects Monitor adherence to robust cost capture practices throughout manufacturing, installation and commissioning activities Managing project invoicing lifecycle and support receivables personnel to ensure timely and accurate issuing of invoices throughout project milestones Proactive corporate cash flow management through effective debtor follow up and expenditure forecasting Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations including preparation of monthly BAS Develop and implement financial policies and procedures Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting Assist with audits and other financial reviews Support company ERP implementation activities and other project work as required To be considered for this role you must have: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance CPA or CMA certification (preferred) 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a management role Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices Experience with financial analysis and reporting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software Some experience in a complex manufacturing environment (this would be a distinct advantage) This role will require attendance for work at our GTE Technology HQ in Creswick Road.
