About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced MTEC Mechanical Engineer to join our client's team and contribute to a significant project. They are a leading Australian manufacturing organisation. This role involves supporting the development and implementation of operational readiness strategies, ensuring a seamless transition to operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safety and Environmental Leadership: Adhere to safety standards, contribute to a safe work environment, and participate in safety initiatives.
* MTEC Development: Support the development of Manuals, Training, Equipment, and Commissioning (MTEC) documentation.
* Operational Readiness: Contribute to the planning and execution of operational readiness activities.
* Technical Expertise: Apply strong mechanical engineering knowledge to address project challenges.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with project teams, operations personnel, and other stakeholders.
* Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
* Problem-Solving: Analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
* Documentation: Prepare clear and concise technical documentation.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
* Proven experience in heavy industry, preferably in steel or mining.
* Strong understanding of ASMAP operations and equipment.
* Experience in project delivery, particularly in brownfield projects.
* Knowledge of operational readiness and commissioning processes.
* Strong technical writing and communication skills.
* Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., CAD, CAE).
