We invite you to join our dedicated team at Pinnaroo Soldiers Memorial Hospital, where you'll deliver high-quality, person-centred care while gaining valuable experience in a supportive and enriching environment.
Pinnaroo Soldiers Memorial Hospital is a multipurpose facility, operating with a small 3 bed emergency department, 7 acute beds and 21 aged care beds.
We provide this care through the support of General Practitioners who based themselves out of both Pinnaroo and Lameroo communities, as well as support from telehealth services based out of the Riverland General Hospital and in emergency situations, we are supported by The Royal Flying Doctors Services, SA Ambulance and MedStar services.
We have very skilled senior staff, with unique abilities to support with the general running's of our facility, including staff who have skills to X-ray and suture.
Skilled senior staff, together with supportive Medical Officers and our rural location provides and facilitates a genuine and opportunistic environment suitable for upskilling and learning.
About the Role In this role, you will provide nursing and/or midwifery services by assessing individual patient/client needs, plan, implement and/or coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options including other disciplines or agencies.
You will be an integral part of the team, working over a 24/7 - 7-day roster, providing evidenced based care, developing clinical skills while keeping up to date with professional standards of practice and quality management initiatives consistent with organisational policies.
Eligibility Criteria Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
Hold or eligible to hold a current practicing certificate.
Experience in providing nursing care in a healthcare setting.
Skills & Abilities: Effective communication skills, including problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation.
Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads.
Creative, innovative, and flexible approach to problem-solving.
Commitment to providing consumer/client and family-centred care.
