We pride ourselves on delivering sustainable solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients. We are currently looking for a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join the RWE team in Griffith. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented mechanical engineer with strong communication and customer service skills and a background in designing and implementing irrigation, pumping, and filtration systems. The candidate should be well-versed in preparing technical drawings and system designs, with experience in project coordination, procurement, and quality management audits. Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to : Liaise and consult with clients to identify mechanical and design requirements of pumping and filtration systems or other fabricated components. Prepare system designs and fabrication drawings (in conjunction with customer and your supervisor) to ensure a safe and effective solution to suit customer’s irrigation needs. Identify and quantify engineering requirements, prepare tenders, bill of quantities, quotes and customer contracts associated with works. Assist with the procurement of long lead items for projects, including stainless/mild steel, pumps, diesel engines, electric motors, drive couplings and filtration in conjunction with the Procurement Officer. Assist in the co-ordination of pump shed projects with RWE employees, suppliers and subcontractors. Commissioning of pump shed installations in conjunction with your supervisor. Assist on site as necessary to ensure quality and accuracy of installations in accordance with designs and/or to conduct pre-design inspections and measurements. Ability to build and maintain strong customer, supplier and subcontractor relationships and provide an exemplary customer service experience.
