Reporting through to the Supervisor for the auxiliary equipment, this role will provide auxiliary equipment and vehicle maintenance support with a focus on availability, reliability, and quality maintenance.Your duties will include:Auxiliary equipment and vehicle maintenance in all areas of heavy commercial vehicles, including mobile plant, generators, lighting plants, forklifts, EWPs, and cranes.Following specific maintenance programs and procedures.Operation of mobile equipment within limits of competence, training, and experience.Carrying out checks on equipment as required.Accurate completion of technical documentation, reports, and drawings as required.Use of computerized maintenance systems (SAP), including time confirmations, raising notifications, and closing work orders.Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with rescheduling of work, organizing and coordinating resources, scoping of work, and determining priorities when required.Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and assisting in the implementing of new initiatives in a constructive way.Executing tasks to a high standard and in a timely manner.About YouAs the successful candidate, you will ideally possess the following:Mechanical Trade Qualification.Relevant experience in a large-scale mining operation is preferred.Strong vehicle mechanical and maintenance competency, with sound diagnostic abilities.Forklift licence, EWP, working at heights, CV (Hiab), CN (non-slewing crane).Ability to work off schematic drawings.Ability to work closely in a team environment.About Our ProcessAt BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
