The team are bound by a family atmosphere, live onsite in a vibrant community and are currently seeking a Maintenance Manager to join their team… this is where you come in!
What you can expect from a day in this role:
As the successful candidate, you will manage the maintenance of Saffire Freycinet and Churinga, our Team Accommodation. In this hands on role you will lead the Maintenance team to ensure all rooms, suites, grounds, plant, equipment and public areas are effectively maintained to the highest standard.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Manage the day to day operations of the Maintenance team to ensure property presentation and maintenance are always of the highest standard
* Schedule and ensure timely completion of general and preventative maintenance work such as carpentry, plastering, painting, basic plumbing and adjustments of fixtures and fittings
* Respond to any maintenance requests and communicate the outcome
* Inspect completed works and liaise closely with all internal stakeholders
* Establish, monitor and maintain quality operating procedures and systems to ensure compliance with Form 46
* Maintain a program of preventative maintenance
* Manage additional compliance obligations, such as water testing, offsite plant and staff accommodation
* Negotiate and manage all contracted work to ensure correct, compliant and efficient completion within budget
* Being the first point of contact should an emergency maintenance issue arise, and to respond in a reasonable period
* Recruitment, rostering and performance management, to ensure effective supply and management of labour and cost
* Contribute to, and report on all dimensions of budget and KPIs to ensure timely and accurate data, effective controls and achievement of targets
What you will bring to the role:
* Previous maintenance experience in a tourism or hospitality business with Essential Building Services programs
* Experience in leading teams, including coaching, mentoring, performance conversations and feedback
* Strong stakeholder management
* Strong time management and planning skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks
* Experience working within budgets
* High quality workmanship and attention to detail
* Current C Class drivers’ licence
* Trade qualification is preferred but not essential
* Other relevant licences are desirable such as Working at Heights Certificate, Chainsaw license, Horticultural course and Asbestos Awareness
